Overview:
The role of legal negotiator is a key part of the regional office team in Mumbai, providing expertise in derivative documentation and transaction legal support to various businesses across the APAC, EU, and US regions.
You will spend most of your time drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements relating to derivative transactions. Direct liaison with the front office, internal stakeholders, and clients will be required.
Main responsibilities include drafting master agreements, reviewing constitutional documents, ensuring corporate consents and approvals are in place.
You will also build strong relationships with both internal and external clients, understanding their needs and business operations.
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting wide-range master agreements
- Reviewing constitutional documents
- Ensuring corporate consents and approvals
- Liaising with front office and clients
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A law degree or Commonwealth-qualified lawyer or solicitor with 2-5 years PQE for Senior Analyst level and 6-8 years PQE for Associate level in financial products or commercial contract drafting and negotiations.
