Cash Applications Specialist Job Summary

\

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing and reconciling incoming payments with outstanding invoices in financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • \
  • Process and reconcile incoming payments with outstanding invoices in financial transactions\
  • Manage financial transactions, review customer payment information, research payment histories, and reconcile customer cash receipts\
  • Answer customer inquiries, process receipt refunds, and improve processes\
  • Daily processing of cash receipts and postings to customer accounts, including check payments\
  • Identify unapplied payments and handle bank fee charge-offs\
  • Maintain records for auditing purposes, including remittances and bank statements taking an active part in SOX reviews\
  • Support management and address relevant issues related to cash receipts, applications, and collections\
  • Collaborate with Collections Analysts on specific portfolios of customers\
  • Work with Cash Management to ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts\
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including collections teams, finance teams, and management\\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field\
  • Minimum one year of experience as a cash application/collection specialist; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience\
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills\
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word\
  • Basic accounting skills\
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English (knowledge of foreign languages is a plus)\
  • Customer-focused approach\
  • Strong work ethic\
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines\\
