Job Overview

The Enterprise Risk Manager role is crucial in identifying and assessing potential risks that may impact the bank's operations. This position requires a skilled professional who can conduct in-depth research, benchmarking, and analysis to support risk assessments, strategic decision-making, and Board-level reporting.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough balance sheet benchmarking of the Bank against peers (SFBs, Universal banks, peer NBFCs) to identify areas of improvement.
  2. Perform ratio analysis & interpret trends/insights on capital adequacy, NIM, cost-to-income, credit costs, GNPA/NNPA, RoA, RoE etc. to ensure optimal financial performance.
  3. Track and interpret peer disclosures, investor presentations, call transcripts & annual reports for risk and performance insights to stay ahead in the market.
  4. Research and review business models of peers across retail, MSME, Microfinance, Housing and other segments to identify best practices.
  5. Prepare structured notes on emerging sectors risks, competitive strategies, and market positioning and deliver insights on yields, risk-adjusted returns, portfolio vulnerabilities, key risk drivers etc. to inform strategic decisions.
  6. Track and interpret macroeconomic developments (GDP, inflation, interest rates, liquidity, credit growth etc.) to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
  7. Monitor various pricing strategies adopted in various credit products and implement Risk Based Pricing in compliance to Regulatory requirements.
  8. Assist in the documentation of the Bank's ICAAP/CCAR/SCAP findings to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, or related fields (MBA/PGDM, FRM, CFA preferred)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in research, financial analysis, consulting or enterprise risk.
  • Certifications on FRM/PRM is an added plus.
