As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment and maintenance of OpenShift Virtualization environments. Your expertise in managing Windows Servers, including patch management, is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the smooth operation of OpenShift Virtualization environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to OpenShift, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • IT Process Management: Understand and adhere to IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Windows Server Administration: Proficiency in managing Windows Servers, including patch management.
  • Network Understanding: Strong understanding of networking principles and practices.
  • Storage Management: Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC).
  • Bare Metal Servers: Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers, including examples such as DELL and HP ProLiant servers.
  • Virtual Machine Management: Experience in deploying, operating, decommissioning, and migrating virtual machines (V2V and P2V), managing the lifecycle of virtual machines in OpenShift and VMware.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and security using Prometheus and Grafana to proactively address potential issues.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work on rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 support.
