Job Title: Executive Chef Leader

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished executive chef leader to oversee all kitchen operations.

  • Directs and supervises all direct reports ensuring optimal team performance.
  • Ensures a deep understanding of culinary terms, processes, and quality standards.
  • Prepares company recipes by maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Works efficiently and productively to complete tasks, prioritizing deadlines and workflows.
  • Coordinates and supervises team members in various kitchen sections, promoting collaboration and open communication.
  • Undertakes regular recipe reviews, maintains immaculate condition of recipe folders, and ensures accuracy of menu offerings.
Financial Leadership:
  • Responsible for cost containment through proper use of records, supplies, and equipment.
  • Identifies potential expense reductions through strategic cost control measures.
  • Analyzes operational problems, establishes controls, and implements process improvements.
Motivational Management:
  • Monitors assigned workstation functions, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities to staff, providing clear expectations and goals.
  • Evaluates staff and work procedures, ensuring quality standards and performance excellence.
  • Makes recommendations regarding personnel actions, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications and Education:
  • A minimum of 5 years in an upscale hotel or resort setting.
  • At least 2 years as an executive chef (shipboard experience preferred).
  • Culinary school degree is required, with advanced certifications a plus.
  • Strong management, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
