Job Summary:


The Compensation CoE team at Altair is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering compensation programs that support business strategy. As a part of this team, the Global Compensation Analyst will assist in providing guidance to internal clients and collaborate with HR globally in planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay administration, merit increase, salary/market pricing analysis, and incentive programs.


Roles & Responsibilities



  • Assist Compensation CoE in administering annual compensation programs and projects, including merit increase, bonus/variable payout, job evaluation, total rewards statements, etc.
  • Assist in creating, applying, and maintaining market ranges by participating in and/or conducting salary surveys, performing survey job matching, and conducting ad-hoc benchmarking and market research as needed.
  • Assist HR & Business Managers globally with Compensation CoE guidance on compensation advisory requests for promotions, new hire recommendations, new positions to be priced, (level and compensation), internal parity, retention, etc.
  • Assist in evaluating jobs, job descriptions, and job architecture.
  • Review, revise, and/or write job descriptions based on discussions with HR & Business Managers.
  • Perform regular audits of the compensation data to verify accuracy and ensure consistent global application of roles and market ranges.
  • Actively conduct data analysis, data modeling, and reporting; interpret results, present findings to stakeholders, and recommend changes as needed.
  • Actively contribute to building new reports, trackers, and databases related to compensation.
  • Help in conducting compensation training sessions in person and virtually as appropriate.
  • Assist in ensuring company compliance with relevant laws and regulations across locations.
  • Manage C&B vendors and consultants.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the compensation field.
  • Experience in conducting a salary survey would be a plus.
  • Must have a strong aptitude for research, analysis, and data management with a focus on high accuracy.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to maintain sensitive data in a confidential manner.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to influence and maintain relationships with others.

Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience, preferably MBA in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Work experience preferably in a global organization with exposure to matrix reporting.
  • Consulting experience will be a plus.
