Senior Data Engineer Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of data engineering concepts and experience in designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems.

About the Role

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of our data infrastructure, ensuring that it is scalable, reliable, and efficient. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement dimensional and fact tables.
  • Identify and implement data transformation/cleansing requirements.
  • Develop highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance data processing pipelines.
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models with associated metadata.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings.
  • Provide research, high-level design, and estimates for data transformation and data integration projects.
  • Analyze and resolve problems, and provide technical assistance as necessary.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or data integration projects.
  • Expertise in data warehousing concepts, strategies, and tools.
  • Strong SQL background and knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
  • Experience with GCP & Google BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Composer (Airflow), Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Function, and GCS.
  • Good understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL framework.
  • Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud.
  • Experience in integration using APIs, XML, JSONs, etc.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum processes.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams across multiple locations.
