About the Role:

  • As a key member of Vandana Global Ltd., you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization's ESG Framework, ensuring a healthy working relationship with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure ESG is integrated into the organization's strategy and commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices, while working towards obtaining required certifications and their implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development:

  • Develop and shape the organization's ESG strategy, identifying key environmental, social, and governance issues, and creating a comprehensive plan to address them.
  • Prepare the organization for various ESG related certifications, ensuring the sustainability of developed systems and mechanisms through audits.
  • Identify and evaluate ESG risks and opportunities, integrating them into business planning and decision-making processes.

Environmental Focus:
Lead environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction.

  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement environmental improvement projects.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits, ensuring adherence to local, state, and central environmental regulations.

Social Impact:

  • Drive community engagement and social investment programs to enhance the company's reputation and support local communities.

ESG Framework:

  • Develop and maintain ESG policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure transparent and accurate ESG reporting, including sustainability reports and disclosures to stakeholders.
  • Prepare ESG reports, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks like GRI, CDSB, and standards like SASB, EFRAG.
  • Stay current with ESG regulations, standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:


Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, investors, regulators, and community members, to communicate the company's ESG performance and initiatives.


  • Represent the company in industry groups, sustainability forums, and at public events.
  • Perform and deliver additional tasks as and when requested by senior and top management.

Requirements:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or related roles, preferably within the steel or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).

Functional Skills:

  • Leadership and strategic thinking.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
  • Innovative and proactive mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Certification in ESG or sustainability (e.g., LEED, ISO) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory compliances and documentation required for the continued production and other operations of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of maintaining all relevant governmental, legal, and regulatory documentation and licenses for a steel manufacturing plant.
  • Proficient with MS Office and other essential office productivity tools.
