Job Description:

EssentiallySports is a leading sports entertainment digital media publication hiring content editors to join our editorial team.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate editors who can verify the legitimacy of statistical data, proofread, and enhance the quality of content before it goes live on our website.

The successful candidate will be responsible for publishing 20-25 articles daily, researching facts, identifying incorrect claims, and eliminating them immediately. They will also mentor and guide writers to refine their quality, output, and performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively editing and publishing articles daily.
  • Proofreading articles to ensure no errors remain and checking plagiarism.
  • Researching to verify facts and identify incorrect claims.
  • Publishing articles in a timely fashion for priority news-based articles.
  • Mentoring and guiding writers to refine their quality and performance.
  • Ensuring smooth daily operations of writers in the NASCAR division.
  • Undertaking other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing
  • Prior experience of leading a team of writers would be an additional plus
