Job Description

As the most senior representative in India, this role will oversee operations, governance, and compliance for three entities. You'll lead the local office, maintain statutory compliance, hold a directorship, and ensure seamless collaboration with international colleagues.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity to deliver against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact. The role will play a key role in aligning regional delivery with global priorities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operational leadership in India, ideally in a professional membership body or similarly regulated environment. Exceptional understanding of governance, compliance, and HR practices is essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate as legal representative and Director for all Indian entities, ensuring local laws and internal policies are upheld.
  • Oversee budgeting, team management, financial planning and reporting across all business units.
  • Lead and develop the Bengaluru-based team; mentor managers and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Deliver against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact.
  • Liaise with international teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Represent the organization with confidence in legal, governance, and business forums.
Requirements
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven operational leadership in India - ideally in a professional membership body, association or similarly regulated environment.
  • Exceptional understanding of governance, compliance, and HR practices.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Ability to drive strategy with warmth, rigour and agility.
  • Line management experience with the gravitas to lead national delivery.
