Migrating email security solutions is a critical process that requires careful planning and execution. The goal is to transition from an existing Barracuda Spam Firewall to Microsoft Defender for Office 365, ensuring seamless service continuity with minimal disruption.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with email security platforms, including Microsoft 365 security tools. They should possess a strong understanding of secure email gateway configurations and migrations, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues related to mail flow, filtering, and user access during and after the migration.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute the retirement of the Barracuda email security firewall
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features, including anti-phishing, anti-malware, and threat investigation tools
  • Ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption
  • Document the migration process and provide technical knowledge transfer to internal teams
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to align configurations with organizational policies
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mail flow, filtering, and user access during and after the migration

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with email security platforms, including Microsoft 365 security tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Protection (EOP)
  • Familiarity with secure email protocols, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and threat detection tools
  • Experience managing or supporting email migration projects
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
