Job Title: Engineering Chapter Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our engineering chapter. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of defining technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, and driving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Technical Roadmap Definition: Ability to define software technical roadmaps and ensure alignment with reference architecture, enterprise data standards, and modernization priorities.
  • Squad Enablement: Proven experience in paving the way for squads to deliver autonomously at pace by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes.
  • Solution Planning: Strong planning, definition, and high-level design skills for solutions, assisting squads in identifying the right technologies and ensuring sound architectural decisions.
  • Chapter Collaboration: Experience working with chapter leads on defining and forecasting tech capability requirements and supporting implementation of practices, tooling, and training.
  • Design and Refactoring: Expertise in driving good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination, ensuring technical debt and associated impacts are visible to the team and working with POs to reduce it over time.
  • Delivery Management: Accountability for delivery within funding allocation and actively managing and mitigating delivery and delivered risk.
  • Team Development: Accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of technology roles, such as software and systems engineers.

Tech Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and REST API integration.
  • Cloud - AWS large scale data warehouse implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes to improve productivity.
  • Experience building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Preferably experience building Agentic AI systems using AutoGen, CrewAI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
  • A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily usage of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc.
  • Knowledge of or experience in Anthropic Claude, Llama, LiteLLM, Cursor, windsurf / Codeium, VO Vercel, Continue, Aider, Cline, Langchain, Langgraph, Hugging Face will be highly desirable.
  • Strong technical leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems.
  • Ability to provide technical direction to teams, reviewing designs and code to ensure best practices.
