Key Responsibilities and Job Requirements

  • Analog design engineers must develop high-performance analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with transistor-level designs from initial specification to final product introduction in advanced CMOS processes.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-performance analog or mixed-signal IC development in advanced CMOS processes.
  • Evaluating silicon on bench and familiarity with standard lab equipment is required.
  • A strong understanding of noise and mismatch analysis at the transistor level is necessary.
  • Cadence schematic capture, virtuoso, Spectre, and/or HSPICE circuit simulation tools are essential for this role.
  • The ability to work independently and create schedules is a must, as well as having strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with high-speed, high-resolution analog-to-digital (ADC) or digital-to-analog (DAC) data converter design techniques.
  • A track record of successfully taking designs to production is mandatory.
  • Lay out parasitic extraction tools and layout-dependent impairments in advanced CMOS processes are necessary knowledge areas.
  • The ability to proactively seek help and share knowledge is crucial.
  • The capacity to lead teams spread across geographic locations is desired.
