Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Accountant to join our team in Genpact, responsible for all activities related to general accounting. The successful candidate will contribute to the monthly corporate reporting process, including gathering and preparing journal entries, issuance of monthly financial statements, and preparation of financial reporting for forecast and budget.

In this role, you will be accountable for reviewing monthly client P&Ls and distribution, as well as monthly analysis and review of balance sheet accounts and expense accounts. You will also be responsible for payroll reconciliation, bank reconciliations, intercompany balances, and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monthly Corporate Reporting Process: Gather and prepare journal entries, issue monthly financial statements, and prepare financial reporting for forecast and budget

• Client P&Ls: Review monthly client P&Ls and distribution

• Balance Sheet Accounts and Expense Accounts: Analyze and review balance sheet accounts and expense accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, analyze expense accounts, and prepare/reverse monthly accruals

• Payroll Reconciliation: Perform payroll reconciliation

• Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations

• Intercompany Balances: Review and reconcile intercompany invoices and posting of related transactions

• SOX Compliance: Ensure monthly book is complete and done in accordance with SOX requirements, maintain and update documentation of current controls/policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree – B.Com/ CA

• Significant experience in Accounting and Finance

• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

• Good Excel and typing skills

• Good understanding of accounting concepts

The estimated salary for this role is around ₹8-12 lakhs per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
