Job Description

As a Finance Accountant - General Ledger Specialist at Genpact, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual who can oversee the preparation and posting of journals, execute internal controls and checks, and perform tasks with accuracy and timelines. You will also be responsible for supervising intercompany reconciliation status, performing daily bank reconciliations, and reviewing payment proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journals at the end of each month after analyzing prepaid and accruals accounts.
  • Execute internal controls and checks as part of the process and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Supervise intercompany reconciliation status and follow up with relevant teams to resolve variances before the end of the month.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and identify open items to take up with relevant teams for closure before the end of the month.
  • Build payment proposals and review exceptions in SAP/ERP.
  • Perform duplicate payment checks, quality checks on payment proposals, and review critical and month-end activities to ensure a smooth close.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum qualification of CA / M.Com/ B.com/ MBA (Finance)/ ICWA with relevant years of experience.
  • Meaningful work experience in general accounting (R2R function).
  • Excellent accounting knowledge and good MS Office skills, especially in MS Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in SAP is preferred.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and location.
