**Job Description:**

Torq Commodities seeks an experienced Agri Trader to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As an Agri Trader, you will be responsible for identifying potential buyers and negotiating prices, maintaining market connections, and ensuring contract execution.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Negotiate sales agreements with buyers, focusing on maximizing company interests.
  • Maintain relationships with market participants, gathering market information and staying informed about market activities.
  • Record historical price and cost data to enable benchmarking across time, quality, and quantity.
  • Coordinate the issuance of invoices and ensure timely payment collection from buyers.
  • Assist in appointing CHA and freight forwarders, ensuring timely cargo clearance at destinations.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to identify suitable warehouses or tanks for storing imported cargo.
  • Ensure proper documentation and manage local cargo transportation.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

  • Plan and execute sales strategies, including determining which grades to sell, where to sell them, and how to sell them.
  • Manage logistics and supply chain coordination with internal teams.
  • Foster daily communication with clients and suppliers.
  • Analyze markets to develop appropriate buying and selling strategies.

**Relationship Management:**

  • Maintain and develop commercial relationships with suppliers and buyers.

**Contract Execution:**

  • Ensure sound execution of sale and purchase contracts related to assigned origins and commodities.
  • Work within finance frameworks, including LCs and Documentary Collection.
  • Understand freight, charter vessels, book shipments, and associated costs for physical Agri products.

**Target Commodities:**

The role involves trading over 20+ commodities, including Sesame, Soybean, Raw Cashew Nut, Pulses, Coffee, and Oil seeds.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Agri Commodities trading.

**Compensation:** The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This figure is based on industry standards and reflects the importance of the role within Torq Commodities.
