Job Description:

At Torq Commodities, we are seeking an experienced Agri Trade Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for identifying potential buyers for sales of agri commodities and negotiating prices and terms.

In this role, you will maintain connections with market participants to collect market information and stay up-to-date on market activities related to specific products. You will also be responsible for maintaining historical records of prices and costs to enable benchmarking across time, quality, and quantity.

The successful candidate will ensure that contracts are executed with buyers as per agreed terms and conditions, coordinating with the accounts team for invoice issuance and payment collection. Additionally, you will assist in the appointment of CHA and freight forwarders, ensuring timely clearance of goods at destinations.

You will work closely with the logistics team to identify warehouses or tanks for storing imported cargo and assist with local transportation of cargo. Proper documentation is essential, and you will be responsible for the growth of profit and loss (PNL) in your region through buying, marketing, and selling.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Negotiate prices and terms with potential buyers for agri commodity sales.
  2. Maintain connections with market participants to collect market information.
  3. Ensure contracts are executed as per agreed terms and conditions.
  4. Coordinate with the accounts team for invoice issuance and payment collection.
  5. Assist in the appointment of CHA and freight forwarders.
  6. Work with the logistics team to identify storage solutions for imported cargo.
  7. Ensure proper documentation.
Requirements:
