Chef de Partie Job Description

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food production, inventory management, and staff supervision.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates direct reports, ensuring a high-performing team.
  • Maintains excellent food knowledge and understands culinary terms to deliver exceptional dishes.
  • Prepares company recipes by adhering to quality and consistency standards, as instructed by corporate office guidelines.
  • Ensures efficient task completion, productivity, and work flow in any section of the kitchen.

Care and Maintenance:

  • Coordinates and supervises team members in assigned sections, delegating tasks accordingly.
  • Reviews daily recipes and maintains immaculate recipe folders.
  • Responsible for follow-through on requests from supervisors or managers, including show plates and random food tastings.
  • Controls production levels, suggesting improvements and cost-controlling ideas.

Financial Responsibility:

  • Manages records, reports, supplies, and equipment to ensure proper use and handling.
  • Identifies potential expense reductions through cost control.
  • Analyzes operational problems and establishes controls.

Motivational Responsibilities:

  • Monitors workstation functions and assigns duties and responsibilities to staff.
  • Evaluates staff and work procedures to meet quality standards and service expectations.
  • Recommends personnel actions, such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure adequate staffing.

Additional Tasks:

  • Inspects workstations, work areas, and equipment to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
