Job Title: Experienced Culinary Professional

As a seasoned line cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present food items to the highest standards, as requested by supervisors.
  • Possess advanced knife handling skills and use them efficiently to complete tasks productively.
  • Work effectively in any kitchen section, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Have a strong understanding of culinary terms and good food knowledge, enabling you to read and understand company recipes.
  • Be proficient in completing tasks efficiently and productively, following Public Health standards in your section.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area for inspections.
  • Report for duty at assigned times and follow instructions from management.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Minimize costs through proper use of supplies and equipment.

Motivational Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this role.

Qualifications and Education:

  • At least 4 years of experience in upscale hotels or cruise ships is required.
  • A culinary school degree is mandatory, showcasing your expertise in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Strong management skills in a multicultural environment are essential, allowing you to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and people skills are necessary to provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Superior customer service and teambuilding skills are crucial in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of principles for providing personalized services is vital in tailoring menus to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Strong planning, coaching, organizing, and evaluating skills are necessary to manage kitchen operations efficiently and effectively.
  • Intermediate computer software skills are required to stay up-to-date with modern technology and streamline kitchen processes.
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles is beneficial in managing kitchen finances and making informed decisions.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence is an asset in communicating effectively with management and other stakeholders.
