About the Role:

  • Responsible for overseeing daily construction activities to ensure they align with approved plans, specifications, and method statements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify any quality or safety issues and take corrective actions whenever necessary
  • Verify that all materials used on the project meet the required standards and are stored and handled correctly
  • Ensure that workers follow approved method statements and standard operating procedures for construction work.
  • Document all inspection and tests carried out on the construction site, and maintain accurate records of construction progress, material used, and labor hours
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and sub-contractors, to ensure all parties are informed of construction progress and any issues that arise.
  • Monitor quality standards as per QAP guidelines
  • Ensure material, equipment, and labor availability
  • Assist with quality engineer responsibilities up to some extent.
  • Provide guidance to working agencies on available work fronts.
  • Perform inspections and checks for all quality-related procedures on-site, ensuring activities adhere to approved methods of statement, including closure of non-compliance reports
  • Carry out daily inspections and tests of scope and characters necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed on- or off-site
  • Coordinate with contractor representatives and site engineers in charge for inspections and adherence to quality aspects, including closure of non-compliance reports
  • Coordinate with contractor quality engineers for submission of material submittals with quality details.
  • Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity; thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction related to structural fabrication/erection, equipment erection/alignment, piping fabrication/erection, measurement verification, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with Civil departments for equipment readiness for erection/released for grouting after alignment.
  • Monitor policies and procedures, reporting any areas requiring improvement.
  • Check P&ID, Isometric drawings, MOC of equipment & piping, and assembly work with respect to approved GA drawings, ensuring adequacy of same.
  • Monitor insulation activities, work front releases after hydrostatic tests of piping/equipment.
  • Maintain good professional relationships with Clients and resolve major site concerns.

About You:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical with 12 to 15 years of experience, particularly in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and automation solutions plant.
  • Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BE Mech with relevant industry experience
  • Technical understanding of civil, electromechanical, and architectural works
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Attention to detail and excellent observational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
