Training and Capacity Building Expert

This is a role for a highly skilled professional to lead the development and implementation of training programs in organic farming, certification processes, and project guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture or agri-business management, with expertise in designing training modules, conducting needs assessments, and developing high-quality training materials.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating customized capacity-building interventions for farmers and field staff, delivering training programs, and facilitating workshops and demonstrations.
  • They will also monitor and document training activities, ensuring timely submission to stakeholders, and maintain and update a training content calendar for structured execution.
  • In addition, they will ensure proper filing and record-keeping of training-related documents for internal use and external audits, and collaborate with project teams and government departments for seamless coordination of training activities.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in training and capacity building, with expertise in organic agriculture and allied sectors.
  • Postgraduate degree in Agriculture/Agri-Business Management/Biological Sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience in similar assignments in the Northeast region of India is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting training needs assessments and designing customized capacity-building interventions.
  • Developing and delivering training programs on organic farming, certification processes, and project guidelines.
  • Creating high-quality training manuals, modules, presentations, videos, and resource materials.
  • Facilitating workshops, demonstrations, and exposure visits to strengthen practical learning.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting training activities, ensuring timely submission to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and updating a training content calendar for structured execution.
  • Ensuring proper filing and record-keeping of training-related documents for internal use and external audits.
  • Collaborating with project teams and government departments for seamless coordination of training activities.
