Cost Manager Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cost Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs associated with construction projects, including cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and collaboration with project stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Study project scope in-line with design requirements to ensure accurate cost estimation and budgeting.
  • Validate technical specifications received from the design team to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Optimize specifications without deviating from client delivery expectations.
  • Validate bills of quantities (BOQs) and backup workings to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Present BOQs and solutions to management for approval.
  • Check RA bills and final bills to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare amendments as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or specifications.
  • Validate budget cost analysis based on benchmark cost matrix to inform decision-making.
  • Submit different budget options considering alternative solutions to actual design.
  • Explore new products and present them to management for approval.
  • Propose different optimization options in budgets to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Complete budget requirements within given timelines to meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare reports on cost analysis of projects as per management requirements.
