Software QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a proactive Software Quality Assurance (QA) professional to design, develop and execute automated testing frameworks for our cutting-edge platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on software quality assurance using the latest technologies and hands-on expertise in performance, security and penetration testing.

  • Test Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive test strategies and plans for software projects.
  • Automation Testing: Design, develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress or Playwright, integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery.
  • Test Execution: Execute functional, regression, integration, performance and security tests for assigned software modules.
  • Performance Testing: Define performance testing objectives and scenarios, conduct load, stress and scalability tests using tools like JMeter, Gatling or Locust, and analyze performance bottlenecks to recommend optimizations.
  • Security Testing: Perform security assessments, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, using tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite, collaborate with security experts to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, manage defect tracking, triage and resolution processes working closely with developers for timely resolution.
  • Quality Advocacy and Process Improvement: Promote best practices in QA processes to foster a culture of quality across the development lifecycle, continuously improve QA processes, methodologies and tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, product and project management teams to ensure alignment on quality goals.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on key quality metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in QA automation, with a focus on web-based SaaS applications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Cypress or Playwright, experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust), knowledge of security and penetration testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite), familiarity with programming/scripting languages like Python, Java or JavaScript for test automation, experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), understanding of RESTful APIs and API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills and attention to detail, excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
