Business Intelligence Manager I, Operations Job Description

The core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing actionable insights to inform business decisions through the creation of reports and dashboards.
  • Understanding stakeholders' objectives, key performance metrics, and how they measure success.
  • Translating data into impactful visualizations that drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborating with team members to share knowledge and skills, enhancing analytics capabilities.
  • Crafting an overall design strategy for analytics that improves user experience and influences stakeholders on data, tools, and visualization best practices.
  • Reviewing analytics for quality before final output is delivered to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring version control and creating technical documentation.
  • Partnering with IT to implement process improvements.
  • Making significant contributions to delivery through the development and implementation of best-in-class data visualization and insights.
  • Fostering strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure understanding of business needs.
  • Enhancing visualization performance through optimized code.
  • Experience with custom and third-party visuals.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures.
Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A graduate or equivalent level qualification, preferably in a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of analytical experience in Data and Analytics, focusing on report and dashboard building.
  • 6-8 years of experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, including hands-on experience with DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling to generate meaningful insights.
  • Experience working with and creating analytics to enable stakeholders for data-driven decision making, with 4+ years of experience in requirements gathering.
  • Expert-level proficiency in data transformation/configuration and connecting data with Power BI dashboards.
  • Exposure to implementing row-level security and bookmarks.
