Job Title: Portfolio Manager

Job Summary:

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their investment deal requirements in structured finance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for onboarding client portfolios by reviewing legal agreements and understanding servicer or trustees' reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboard Client Portfolios: Review legal agreements and understand servicer or trustees' reporting to ensure seamless integration into our systems.
  • Risk Monitoring: Support clients in risk and exposure monitoring of transactions, providing timely insights to inform decision-making.
  • Covenant Management: Calculate and monitor covenants, concentration limits, eligibility criteria, concentration tests, and Borrowing Base calculations to maintain compliance.
  • Daily Operations: Assist/lead daily operations to ensure accurate and timely deliverables, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Data Accuracy: Liaise with Business Analysts and Implementation teams to ensure data accuracy on proprietary platforms.
  • Talent Development: Mentor freshers to improve the team's learning curve, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Client Surveillance: Provide enhanced surveillance to clients on portfolio performance and share critical aspects proactively, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Process Improvement: Standardise and streamline processes to increase efficiencies and set up SOPs around deliverables, enhancing overall quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Broad Knowledge: Strong understanding of Structured Finance products, corporate credit landscape, ABL, CLO, Middle Market Portfolio Financing.
  • Financial Expertise: In-depth financial and accounting knowledge, with proficiency in MS Excel for financial modelling.
  • Database Acumen: Understanding of financial databases, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Deadline Pressure: Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • Desired Qualifications: Graduated with an MBA or advanced degree in finance like CFA, CAIA, FRM.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience of at least 3-5 years with an Investment Bank, Investment Management firm, or Financial Advisory firm.
