Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our Information & Cyber Security team. This role will be responsible for reducing risk and improving the company's security posture by leading compliance activities for healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and relevant state laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate and lead annual audit programs for ISO, HIPAA, SOC, and HITRUST requirements.
  • Audit applications, configurations, and internal practices against standards like HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.
  • Provide advice and implement information security policies, standards, and operational processes.
  • Ensure Evolent Health information security practices comply with industry and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, NIST-800-53, and CMMI.
  • Create and maintain documentation for policies, procedures, systems, and processes to track, trend, and manage compliance notifications, issues, corrective action plans, audit results, etc.
  • Perform continuous gap analysis, identify risks, and perform risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure corrective actions are adequate and implemented for all identified compliance deficiencies.
  • Promote awareness of information privacy and security and enforce compliance across the enterprise.
  • Highlight risks in contractual obligations and alert operational teams and management accordingly.
  • Respond to customer security questionnaires, RFP/RFIs, and highlight risks in RFP/contractual obligations and their compliance.
  • Have a good understanding of Third-Party Risk Management and conduct third-party risk assessments.
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing governance activities.
  • Generate monthly reporting statistics.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Hitrust, ISO 27001 standards, SOC 1 & 2 Type 2 audits.
  • Internal and external audit experience of ISO 27001 standards.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment and Treatment Methods.
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of experience in GRC.
  • Graduate with work experience in ISMS and Compliance.
  • Certifications in Information Security: CISM, CRISC, CISA (at least one).
  • Working knowledge of ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC 1 & 2.
  • Experience working in the US healthcare business or banking environment.
  • Good understanding of infrastructure security tools and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Good presentation and reporting skills.
  • Self-starter and willing to deal with complex situations.
