Job Overview

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision to a project team of assigned Purchasing personnel and performing tasks involved in the formation and administration of complex purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Purchasing master pro-forma documents
  • Develop and monitor project workhour estimates
  • Participate in planning, staffing, training, and development of Purchasing personnel

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 12-18 years of relevant industry experience in purchasing and expediting functions on Energy/Infrastructure/Mining & Metals/Manufacturing & Technology projects
  • Post-graduate specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal and commercial aspects of global procurement of equipment and materials
  • Experience, skill, or training in supervising workload distribution and execution of work, as well as personnel interviewing, selection, performance evaluation, career counseling when delegated, training
  • Skilled in working with and informing effectively with supervisors of other project functional groups
