Expert OpenShift Virtualization Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of OpenShift Virtualization environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing OpenShift Virtualization environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to OpenShift, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • IT Process Management: Understanding and adhering to IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Windows Server Management: Proficiency in managing Windows Servers, including patch management.
  • Network Understanding: Strong understanding of networking principles and practices.
  • Storage Management: Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC).
  • Bare Metal Servers: Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers.
  • VM Management: Experience in deploying, operating, decommissioning, and migrating virtual machines (V2V and P2V), managing the lifecycle of virtual machines in OpenShift and VMware.
  • Rotational Shifts: Willingness to work on rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 support.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.

Requirements:

  • 4+ Years of experience in OpenShift Virtualization and IT process management.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows Servers, including patch management.
  • Knowledge and management of storage systems and technologies including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC).
  • Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers.
  • Experience in deploying, operating, decommissioning, and migrating virtual machines (V2V and P2V).
