Financial Leadership Role

The Financial Manager is responsible for leading, directing and managing the accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis functions. This position drives and improves financial performance by providing accurate financial decision-making support through strong analytical, financial and numerical skills.

  • Accounting Function Management:
    • Ensure smooth day-to-day running of finance department.
    • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure all transactions are accounted for timely, accurately and efficiently, following local financial regulations and IFRS.
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Management:
    • Manage customer billing and ensure payments are processed on time.
    • Oversee timely booking and reporting of accounts receivable.
    • Ensure prompt follow-up on overdue payments and resolve issues related to customer billing.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Oversee cash calls to stakeholders and ensure timely submission of monthly and ad hoc financial reports.
    • Handle internal and external audits, working closely with auditors.
  • Cost Control and Team Management:
    • Oversee preparation and review of reports on project costs.
    • Review variation orders and ensure they are properly documented and approved according to project specifications.
    • Build and manage finance team, ensuring high morale and productivity.
    • Conduct annual performance evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) required.
  • 10-12 years of experience in finance, with focus on real estate development and/or construction.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managerial finance position.
