Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive financial operations specialist to support our corporate finance team.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner, analyze and monitor accounts payable transactions, and prepare regular financial reports.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, address payment issues or discrepancies promptly, and ensure accuracy of financial data by maintaining and updating the accounts payable ledger.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • QuickBooks experience.
  • Knowledge of Canadian taxes - HST, PST, PD7A, ROE.
  • Experience with Canadian full-time employees - Federal Tax, Provincial Tax, CPP, EI.
  • Technical skills: proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
