We are seeking an accomplished professional with expertise in the design, construction and management of port and marine infrastructure.

Job Description:

As a Breakwater Construction Expert, you will be responsible for leading the design, planning and construction of rubblemound, vertical and hybrid breakwaters to ensure protection of port infrastructure. You will oversee port expansion projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Breakwater System Design: Design and implement breakwater systems that protect port infrastructure from damage caused by strong waves and tidal currents.
  • Project Management: Manage large-scale port expansion projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Coastal Engineering: Apply your knowledge of hydrodynamics, coastal erosion and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors and consultants to ensure the project's smooth execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
