Job Opportunity

The Corporate Counsel role is a pivotal position within the Legal Department, requiring an individual with diverse legal expertise to collaborate with a skilled team and deliver comprehensive legal and compliance solutions to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address risk and compliance issues, implementing mitigation strategies in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support in developing policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to regulatory compliance.
  • Offer expert advice on data protection and privacy legislation, including incident management and record retention best practices.
  • Collaborate on cyber security compliance and risk management initiatives, including reviewing disclosure requirements for regulators and interacting with external vendors to enhance resilience measures.
  • Advise on immigration laws across various regions, reviewing policy documents related to business travel, work visa regulations, reporting, and notification requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a LLB/LLM degree, coupled with relevant experience as a compliance counsel, preferably in multinational corporations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable regulations, including those related to Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility.
  • Exhibit independent project management skills, including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Showcase ability to manage review and audit exercises in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters.
