Procurement Specialist

  • Establish partnerships with suppliers worldwide to source technical spare parts and arrange logistics for vessel supply.
  • Purchasing activities include sending requisitions to suppliers and arranging quotations for services of Navigation equipment, FFA & LSA, underwater inspections, hull cleaning, technical spare parts, and anodes bulk purchase.
  • Coordinate with vessels on information required for requisitions and follow up with quotations from suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, proforma invoices, packing lists, and assist in logistics arrangements (air freight/sea freight/land transport/sea transport).
  • Interact with agents and ships for supply of spare parts and repair services to vessels at convenient ports.
  • Process invoices – verify vendor invoices against quotations and ensure invoices are processed within the credit term period.
  • Document filing of Invoices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in spares stores services and technical purchasing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
