Senior Software Development Manager Position

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead our software development team. This is a challenging role that requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction to the software development team, review and approve technical designs and code changes, and mentor team members.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with clients, understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and build strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, track progress, and meet project deadlines.
• Business Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and provide recommendations on the feasibility and potential impact of proposed solutions.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Oversee comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure quality and reliability of software applications.
• Code Review: Review code written by team members for quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices, and provide guidance and mentorship as needed.

Industry Knowledge and Skills:

• Customer Business Processes: Expert knowledge of customer's business processes.
• Technology Solutions: Conceptualize technology solutions using relevant platforms/products.
• Process Mapping: Act as SME for preparing process maps, workflows, and business cases.
• Industry Standards: Act as an evangelist for industry standards and practices; create complex business models independently.
• Strategic Initiatives: Drive strategic initiatives, demonstrate thought leadership, and drive process improvement initiatives and ROI.

Gathering and Analysis:

• Business Requirements: Extract business requirements and document them for medium to complex scenarios.
• Impact Analysis: Analyze impact to identify dependencies or interrelationships in transition requirements for engagement.
• Prototype Design: Design prototype and demonstrate to stakeholders.
• Module Identification: Identify modules and features/functionalities impacted to arrive at high-level estimates.
• Traceability Matrix: Develop traceability matrix and conduct technology/business gap analysis.

Management:

• Testing Concepts: Expert knowledge of testing concepts, testing standards and best practices.
• Test Planning: Create iteration, system integration test plan and develop integration test cases as required.
• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis, verify system builds and test environments, and create business scenario test cases/automation test scripts.
• Traceability Update: Update traceability matrix and perform Development Integration.

Resource Planning:

• Resource Estimation: Possesses in-depth knowledge of resource estimation and resource planning techniques, as well as organization/industry-level benchmarks.
• Estimate Creation: Create estimates, cost, and plan resources for complex large projects/programs based on high-level requirements.
• Resource Guidance: Can provide inputs on resource planning at a practice level and provide guidance at a project level, considering people development.
