Operations Director Job Description

The Operations Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of banqueting and catering services. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless event execution, high guest satisfaction, and optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for all banquet and catering functions, including planning, execution, and team management.
  • Collaborate with sales, culinary, and service teams to deliver outstanding events—corporate, social, and weddings.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficient event logistics, from setup through execution and close-out.
  • Monitor quality standards, guest satisfaction, and service delivery across all events and catering operations.
  • Lead and mentor teams in banqueting, kitchen stewarding, and F&B; recruit, train, and manage departmental staff.
  • Analyze operational metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvements in processes and performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in hospitality, hotel management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years' operational leadership experience in banqueting and catering in hotels or high-volume venues in India.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team management, event operations, and logistical planning.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of handling premium events and client satisfaction.
  • Proficient with MS Office, event management systems, and financial controls.
