The institution is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to spearhead its sports initiatives, encompassing physical education, wellness, and athletic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sports Department Visionary: Develop and implement an overarching strategy for the sports department, aligning with national and international standards.
  • Oversee sports programs, inter-collegiate tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum.
  • Ensure effective management of sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds, guaranteeing proper maintenance and optimal utilization.
  • Mentor and identify talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels, fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.
  • Cultivate collaboration among coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports, promoting a holistic approach to well-being.
  • Evaluate and supervise the performance of sports coaches and staff, ensuring they meet the highest standards of professionalism and expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote ethical sports practices, upholding the institution's values and reputation.
  • Develop and implement sports and physical education policies in accordance with UGC/AIU norms, driving innovation and excellence in sports development.
  • Foster partnerships with sports councils, federations, and UGC-recognized bodies to facilitate collaboration and participation in national and international competitions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing large-scale sports events and teams, demonstrating exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • A record of representing the university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or State and/or National championships, showcasing expertise and achievements in sports management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UGC, AIU, and national sports policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
