Job Title: Senior Oracle Performance Optimization Specialist

Servicing a critical role as an Oracle Database Expert, you will be responsible for supporting database operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • You will operate in large-scale Oracle databases, investigating performance issues and optimizing SQL queries to improve system efficiency.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, data architects, and analysts to develop and implement database solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive database analysis to identify areas of improvement, and optimize database configuration for enhanced performance.
  • Develop and implement efficient SQL query optimization strategies using indexing, caching, and other techniques.
  • Analyze complex database performance issues, and provide actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate with the automation team to design and implement automated database tasks, and scheduled jobs to ensure seamless database operations.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on Oracle best practices, database architecture, and performance tuning techniques to junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle database administration, with a focus on performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c, Exadata, and Golden Gate data replication.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes, agile methodology, and version control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex database performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and performance optimization techniques, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
