Oracle Database Administrator Role

This is a pivotal position within our development team, where you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and security of our Oracle databases. You will collaborate closely with our engineers to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that cater to the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases in various environments, including Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
  • Configure RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and clustering for high availability.
  • Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity.
  • Proactively monitor database health and availability using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and custom monitoring scripts.
  • Perform advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management.
  • Utilize AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for performance diagnostics and tuning.
  • Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation.
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC.
  • Configure and manage standby databases for DR readiness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, SQL & PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted Oracle DB solutions.
  • Knowledge of database security standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
