Job Summary:

Assistant Manager/Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to support our Accounting department in producing accurate and timely financial statements.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Review and account AP & corporate expense reports
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation
  • Support tax filings
  • Assist with month-end activities such as accruals, prepays, deferrals, etc.
  • Contribute to revenue recognition & refunds
  • Analyze the monthly Income Statement and provide explanations for P&L account fluctuations
  • Process Accounts Payable transactions
  • Review and approve POs and invoices in Nexonia
  • Coordinate weekly vendor payments
  • Initiate wire transfers
  • Maintain W-9/W-8 information for vendors and record new vendor data into NetSuite
  • Create necessary AP accrual journal entries and monthly dererral entries
  • Coordinate 1099 filings
  • Audit Support
  • Prioritize AP and other Accounting tasks for audit preparation
  • Work directly with auditors for questions
  • Lead walkthroughs of Accounting tasks as requested by auditors
  • Fixed Assets Management
  • Evaluate accuracy of Fixed Assets additions & retirements
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Module
  • Verify monthly depreciation journal entries
  • Create retirement entries
  • Government Filings & Renewals
  • Ensure timely government filings and business renewals
  • Maintain Business Filings document
  • Collaborate with tax consultant
  • Miscellaneous Tasks
  • Assist management on special projects as needed
  • Collaborate with various departments as required
  • Provide ad hoc accounting/finance support

Skill Requirements:
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
  • Proficiency in advanced accounting platforms like NetSuite
  • Knowledge of cloud-based reporting, AR, and AP systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with changing deadlines and responsibilities
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, and multitasking abilities
  • Highly organized, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience in month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial audits
  • Comfortable working with internal stakeholders (Human Resources, IT, Operations, Marketing) and external vendors
  • Remote work environment comfort
