Strategic Resource Mobilization Lead

The role of the Strategic Resource Mobilization Lead will be pivotal in conceptualizing, developing, and executing innovative initiatives to secure strategic resources for our organization.

This position involves close collaboration with thematic leads to co-create compelling pitches, proposals, and program designs that align with donor objectives.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for business development and fundraising for programs from a diverse range of donors.
  • Develop and manage relationships with potential funders, including establishing our presence with large international funders and primary recipients of multilateral organizations.
  • Identify and track funding prospects as they arise, utilizing appropriate tools.
  • Play a key role in developing and maintaining databases of potential funders and partners for business development.
  • Develop and support both new and existing partnership engagements, including identifying and building relationships with prospective collaborative partners for requests for proposal.

For this position, we are seeking an individual with:

  • A post-graduate qualification in Business Development/Management with demonstrable experience of fundraising.
  • A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in fundraising with Institutional Donors.
  • Experience of submitting proposals/pitches to USAID/European Union/Co-Impact/ADB/SIDA or similar donors shall be an advantage.
  • Established industry connections with institutional donors, corporate foundations, family foundations, and other new and innovative sources of funding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conceptualizing, developing, and executing strategic resource mobilization initiatives.
  • Developing and managing relationships with potential funders, including establishing our presence with large international funders and primary recipients of multilateral organizations.
  • Ensuring stewardship, compliance, and high-impact reporting.
