Solar Energy Project Lead

The role of a Solar Energy Project Lead involves overseeing the technical accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and optimization for cost and performance of ground-mounted solar projects. As part of this role, you will play a pivotal part in reviewing and validating engineering designs to ensure they meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design Review & Validation
  • Review and validate drawings, designs, and engineering documents prepared by consultants to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Evaluate designs for constructability, safety, and long-term performance.
  • Verify PVsyst reports and energy yield assessments.
Approval & Coordination
  • Provide timely technical approvals of consultant deliverables.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and statutory bodies for design clarifications and approvals.
Project Execution Support
  • Guide the project and construction teams on design-related queries.
  • Monitor implementation to ensure adherence to approved designs.
Optimization & Risk Mitigation
  • Identify design gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in consultant submissions.
  • Recommend value-engineering measures to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Leadership & Teamwork
  • Lead internal engineering review meetings.
  • Mentor junior engineers in design review processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Power/Renewable Energy (M.Tech preferred).
  • 10–15 years of experience in solar EPC projects, with significant exposure to design review and approvals.
  • Strong knowledge of PV system design (DC & AC side), grid connectivity, substation interface, and protection systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PVsyst, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
