Job Opportunity:

The Principal Legal Counsel role involves providing legal and compliance solutions to the business. A highly skilled legal professional with diverse experience in corporate compliance, investigations, and remediations is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Compliance Program Implementation: Develop and implement Infosys' Whistleblower Program globally, comprising seven pillars of an effective corporate compliance program.
  2. Investigations and Remediations: Conduct global investigations on various issues and negotiate remediations.
  3. Compliance Operational Objectives: Contribute to Compliance & Integrity Plan reviews, prepare action plans, resolve problems, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes.
  4. Regulatory Regimes: Have exposure and understanding of key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to Infosys, including Whistleblower Regulations, Anti-Bribery - Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Confidentiality.
  5. Analytics and Automation: Use analytics and automation to evaluate and mitigate risks.
  6. Whistleblower Systems: Review and improve whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms in collaboration with HR.
  7. Trainings and Communications: Plan, organize, and conduct trainings and communications to enhance the whistleblower program according to industry standards.
  8. Laws and Regulations: Interpret new laws and regulations by reviewing proposed state legislation.
  9. Policy Administration: Derive policy administration and regular communications proactively.
  10. Complaints and Investigations: Effectively handle complaints, investigations, and remediation processes.
Qualifications:
  • A qualified lawyer with a minimum JD degree and relevant experience as a compliance counsel.
  • Additional qualifications such as CA/CFA are preferred.
Required Skills:
  1. Extensive report development experience and policy procedure development in a multinational environment.
  2. An interest in using technology for efficient program implementation.
  3. Analytical skills relating to business processes, data, and interpersonal relations.
  4. Experience in public speaking and business presentation.
  5. Knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards.
