
Senior Account Strategist

Job Description:
- This role is responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, focusing on spices categories and Qcom channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the spices category business charter for ECOM & QCOM channels
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with client stakeholders
- Understanding client business needs and assisting in delivering tailored product and service solutions
- Maintaining high service levels and ensuring smooth coordination of account-related activities
- Ensuring end-to-end execution of monthly deliverables – internal and external
Sales Support and Revenue Growth:
- Identifying and following up on business opportunities within existing accounts
- Supporting the execution of sales strategies to increase product visibility and sales performance in Modern Trade and Qcom channels
- Collaborating with the sales team to achieve assigned revenue targets and category growth
- Preparing presentations, proposals, and reports for client meetings
- Expanding lines, geographies, and increasing availability
Negotiation and Contract Support:
- Managing the listing & onboarding process for the entire spices range
- Coordinating timely documentation and compliance for key accounts
- Addressing operational or supply issues that arise with accounts
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Liaising with internal departments (procurement, supply chain, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth execution of client requirements
- Communicating client feedback and market insights to internal stakeholders
- Monitoring account performance and assisting in preparing sales and performance reports
Market Research and Analysis:
- Tracking market trends, competitor activities, and category developments in spices and dry fruits
- Presenting weekly MIS, P&L report to the management to showcase trajectory
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development from Spices Category only
- Familiarity with Modern Trade, Qcom platforms, and retail business operations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP or CRM systems is a plus
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Modern Trade retailers and Qcom platforms
- Knowledge of category management practices and consumer behavior in food categories
- Exposure to handling supply chain or merchandising for food/FMCG products
- Prior experience in the spices category
- Established relationships with category managers across QCOM, ECOM & MT accounts
- Strong analytical tool and driving relationships
- FMCG/Consumer goods space background
