Job Description:

  • This role is responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, focusing on spices categories and Qcom channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning the spices category business charter for ECOM & QCOM channels
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with client stakeholders
  • Understanding client business needs and assisting in delivering tailored product and service solutions
  • Maintaining high service levels and ensuring smooth coordination of account-related activities
  • Ensuring end-to-end execution of monthly deliverables – internal and external

Sales Support and Revenue Growth:

  • Identifying and following up on business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Supporting the execution of sales strategies to increase product visibility and sales performance in Modern Trade and Qcom channels
  • Collaborating with the sales team to achieve assigned revenue targets and category growth
  • Preparing presentations, proposals, and reports for client meetings
  • Expanding lines, geographies, and increasing availability

Negotiation and Contract Support:

  • Managing the listing & onboarding process for the entire spices range
  • Coordinating timely documentation and compliance for key accounts
  • Addressing operational or supply issues that arise with accounts

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Liaising with internal departments (procurement, supply chain, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth execution of client requirements
  • Communicating client feedback and market insights to internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring account performance and assisting in preparing sales and performance reports

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Tracking market trends, competitor activities, and category developments in spices and dry fruits
  • Presenting weekly MIS, P&L report to the management to showcase trajectory

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development from Spices Category only
  • Familiarity with Modern Trade, Qcom platforms, and retail business operations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP or CRM systems is a plus
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Modern Trade retailers and Qcom platforms
  • Knowledge of category management practices and consumer behavior in food categories
  • Exposure to handling supply chain or merchandising for food/FMCG products
  • Prior experience in the spices category
  • Established relationships with category managers across QCOM, ECOM & MT accounts
  • Strong analytical tool and driving relationships
  • FMCG/Consumer goods space background
