Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to fill the role of Service Transition Manager. This position involves driving Operational Readiness across all activities, aligning with the organization's strategic direction.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine the Operational Readiness Framework and Methodology to drive ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure scope alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Strengthen and streamline IT Change Management processes for robust governance.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders through timely and relevant information sharing.
Operational Excellence
  • Proactively identify and address Operational Readiness-related risks.
  • Monitor and track operational requirements ahead of go-live dates.
  • Facilitate meetings to define operational handover requirements for system initiatives.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Operational Readiness status reports.
  • Elevate projects that fail to meet readiness criteria.
  • Define measurable critical success factors for Operational Readiness execution.
  • Oversee tools and processes supporting Operational Readiness activities.
  • Provide guidance on change management policies and procedures.
  • Review and assess IT changes to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with change owners to manage enterprise application changes while maintaining service levels.
  • Ensure thorough testing, documentation, and resourcing of Requests for Change.
  • Elevate changes not meeting readiness standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Forward Schedule of Change calendar.
  • Facilitate and chair IT Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings as needed.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Comply with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to established IT change management processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in project and systems implementation, including 8+ years in IT Service Transition and Change Control.
  • Deep understanding of Operational Readiness requirements, including management, coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Strong expertise in technical Change Management practices, demonstrated through governance and CAB process leadership.
  • Recognized planning and organizing skills for effective IT service delivery aligned with business goals.
  • ITIL qualifications: Foundation Certificate, Service Transition Certificate, Release Control & Validation, and Operational Support & Analysis.
Personal Attributes
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills for collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Proficient in governing changes through the CAB and skilled in chairing change meetings.
  • Practical problem-solving approach, addressing challenges efficiently and insightfully.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership for implemented IT changes.
