Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in designing, maintaining and administering NoSQL databases. This includes creating, installing and managing our databases to ensure optimal performance.

As a senior database administrator you will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining and scaling our most critical data storage and intelligence platforms across multiple global data centers and public cloud providers.

  • Collaborate with team members to manage both SQL-based and Cassandra/NoSQL databases
  • Manage mission-critical high transaction rate databases including configuration, administration, monitoring, security management, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting and backup of traditional SQL databases and NoSQL databases
  • Install configure and upgrade nodes in high availability customer production clusters
  • Manage international 24x7 multi-site production infrastructure powering the services including deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning and security
Required Skills and Qualifications:

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in NoSQL database administration (Cassandra, MongoDB)
  • 6+ years of experience in traditional SQL database administration (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona)
  • Experience managing Kafka message bus infrastructures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS or MS in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline
