Senior Solar Engineer Lead

Job Description:

The Senior Solar Engineer Lead will oversee the engineering activities of civil and structural engineering for solar PV power plants. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil or structural engineering, with 8-20 years of experience in design aspects of solar PV power plants or power distribution projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents.
  • Review of vendor deliverables pertaining to engineering.
  • Estimate and plan man-hour requirements.
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks.
  • Provide support and clarifications to site execution teams.
  • Review and approve vendor engineering documents with respect to civil and structural design.
  • Design deliverables like module mounting structure design, GA drawing, control room, inverter room civil & structural drawings & document, solar plant civil infrastructure drawings, and design.

Technical Expertise:

  • Engineering activities for civil and structural covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads, and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous works related to solar power plants.
  • Ability to review and interpret contractual technical requirements and facilitate project teams as needed.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering and have at least 8-20 years of experience in solar PV power plant design or power distribution projects. A strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, including contract management and team leadership skills, is necessary.
