Solar Energy Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Solar Energy Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and solar design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments and analyze solar potential to determine feasibility of solar energy systems.
  • Design and optimize system layouts, creating detailed electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient implementation of solar projects.
  • Analyze and utilize software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope or similar to ensure accurate system designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with electrical systems codes, solar industry best practices and relevant policies.
  • Perform site assessments and provide recommendations for optimal solar potential.
  • Evaluate project timelines and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in solar design using software like AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policies and regulations.
