Job Title: Visual Effects Mentor

VFX Mentor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced VFX Supervisor to mentor and direct our artists in the field of Visual Effects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive training for film and advertising needs using Houdini software, covering basic to advanced levels.
  • Prioritize teaching various simulation techniques such as RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  • Teach effective Lookdev techniques to achieve convincing results for clients.
  • Offer solutions for integration between Houdini and Autodesk Maya or Blender.
  • Provide individualized coaching to enhance in-house VFX artists' skills.
  • Share industry insights as a seasoned VFX Artist in global cinema.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Strong understanding of overall VFX workflow and production process.
  • Minimum 5 years of Houdini experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Blender workflow is beneficial.
  • Demonstrable portfolio showcasing exceptional skills and creativity.
  • Solid grasp of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic talent with attention to detail.
  • Passion and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.
