The Design and Engineering Head position at our company is responsible for transforming the design and engineering landscape as a team lead. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of cutting-edge vacuum furnace technologies, fostering collaboration and driving technical excellence across departments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute technical strategies aligning with sales objectives and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with sales managers on offer sizing and costing to ensure timely approvals.
  • Maintain project oversight providing essential technical support to assembly/service teams and customers.
  • Leverage expertise in design calculation component specification cost estimation and technical service to drive project success.
  • Promote innovative solutions through active participation in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Interface effectively with colleagues and customers throughout the design development implementation and delivery cycles.
  • Foster analytical problem-solving capabilities within the assembly factory/assembly lines addressing equipment fabrication/assembly/quality/tests installation and commissioning challenges.
  • Compile comprehensive technical/design and administrative documentation for customer accounts.
  • Evaluate engineering and design for future planning aligning with company strategy plans.
Key Qualifications and Technical Competencies
  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Design.
  • Proven expertise in design and analysis of mechanical/electrical structures/low/high/ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • High Pressure Vessel design/construction and High Temperature Hot Zone design/construction.
  • Heating Elements/Heat-Shield or Insulation design and construction and Heat Exchanger design/construction.
  • Hot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/construction and knowledge of Heat treatment brazing carburizing hardening annealing melting etc.
  • Knowledge and application of various types of materials surface and thermal treatments for low/high/ultra-high vacuum.
  • Hands-on aptitude with standard design practices and manufacturing techniques.
  • Advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works.
  • 3D design for vacuum chambers and systems and knowledge of numerical modeling in solid mechanics.
  • Thermal exchange calculation / Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics vacuum process systems electrical components and automation.
