Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an IBM Sterling Technical Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (OMS) software, including implementation, customization, development, and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will lead the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based solutions for clients, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables. Additionally, they will collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.

  • Implement and customize IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based solutions for clients, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Configure and customize IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based applications to meet specific client needs, including menu layouts, pricing, promotions, and integrations with other systems.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and functionality of IBM Sterling OMS solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (OMS) software.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building Web Services.
  • Minimum of 2 years development experience in XML and DOM parser.
  • Minimum of 5 years development experience in building web applications.
  • Experience building Stored Procedures and SQL functions.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems like GIT.
  • Experience with system integrations using JMS and web services (SOAP).
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C++ for system customizations and integrations.
  • Understanding of retail industry processes and point of sale operations.
